Travel options Malaysia - what's the best way to get here?

When it comes to travel, there's no best mode of transport. It all comes down to what works best for you. Your travel options to Malaysia include flying, taking the bus, the train or by ferry.

Whichever option you decide on, they all get you here. The only difference is how fast and how comfortable; both of which have a direct relation to the size of your wallet.

FLY

TRAIN
Never mind that other modes of travel get you here faster; trains still appeal to the real traveller. Leisurely, romantic even, and most of all, trains let you walk up and down the aisles taking in the sights and sounds under your very nose; whenever you like. BUS

FERRY
Probably not your main choice but I might as well cover it just in case you're the seafaring type. This only applies if you're sailing in from south Thailand or Indonesia. Singapore doesn't count as it's only a stone's throw away.

BICYCLE
My favourite mode of travel - if you have the time, the inclination and most of all, the legs to power you anywhere a decent road beckons and where friendly locals wave and smile at you, this is the way to go. Start, stop and ride anytime you like.
